Chatsworth Movie Locations... Then and Now

Lone Ranger rock in 2007. It's located north of Santa Susana Pass Road on the east side of Redmesa Drive, Chatsworth, California.

Lone Ranger rock as it appeared in the original movie of the Lone Ranger (1949).

The old camera mount in the 'Garden of the Gods' section of the lower Iverson Movie Ranch as it is in 2007. To the east, in the upper left of the photo, is Lone Ranger rock. To the right are the Cliffs of Nyoka. To the northwest, not in this photo, are the famous Indianhead Rock and Eagle Beak rock formations that appeared in hundreds of films.

This screen shot taken from The Gallant Legion (1948), starring Bill Elliott, was taken from the camera mount shown in the photo above. The red dot on the left side of the photo is the Lone Ranger rock. The cliffs of Nyoka are to the right. For more early photos see the links below:
