Boulder Pass: Hollywood's Fantasyland

I am currently gathering material for a second book that will have lots of new photos from movies filmed on the great Chatsworth area movie location ranches that were described in my first book -- Reel Cowboys of the Santa Susanas.

1921 Man-Woman-Marriage - (Upper Iverson Ranch) According to a Los Angeles Times newspaper article published Sep 15, 1920, the Amazonian battle scene filmed for "Man-Woman-Marriage" had a 160 reported injuries. Allan Holubar, producer, said only nine were serious enough to be sent to a hospital. The casualties were sustained during a bareback charge when several hundred expert horsemen and horsewomen clashed in mock battle.
