I bought this extraordinary, 100 year-old, Joiners tool chest - complete with all its tools - at an estate sale in 1976.
Nearly all of the tools in the chest have patent dates that range from the 1880s through roughly 1910. Below and on linked pages are photos of all the tools in the chest.
See my complete inventory and values for this chest. I'm sure the original owner, whose initials were HK, would want his tools to stay together, and that's the way I'd like to sell them. If the complete chest doesn't sell within a reasonable period of time I will sell the tools individually based on the values listed, so check back often.
(above) there are 3 removeable trays with divided compartments in the top of the chest. The chest lid has 3 clips that secure a framing square (see photo at top).
(above) The bottom front of the chest has a chisel rack, a saw storage compartment, and another large compartment for planes. A sliding lid covers the saw and plane compartments.
