Iverson Ranch Western Street

The Iverson Ranch's original western street was built for the Gary Cooper film Along Came Jones (1945). When the movie was finished, the set was left in place; subsequently it was added to and used in many more movies and TV shows.

It was situated along the eastern edge of the ranch about half a mile above Santa Susana Pass Road. Today a mobile home park is on the old site.

church

In Black Hills (1948), the church was located on the south end of town. Because it doesn't appear in every movie, it must have been re-locatable as necessary.

CalamJane

The orintation of the street was more or less north/south. In the sceen shot above from Calamity Jane and the Texan (1950) you can see Oat Mountain in the background.
